Sneek away from work for a little "me time" in a secluded
Nestled in the
rolling checkered hills of the Shenandoah Valley, an area rich in Virginia history, is the
historic1852 heart-of-pine farmhouse build by Jacob Swartz for his new bride
Lucinda Zirkle. The Swartz family home and Jacob's cobbler shop, recently converted into a
totally private self-contained guest cottage (the only available Bed and Breakfast
lodging), stand peacefully at the very end of a tree shaded
country lane overlooking the Shenandoah River's North Fork.
A full breakfast is served at your leisure in the main house,
on your own river-bluff terrace (weather permitting) or, if you prefer, a self-serve
tray will be left at the cottage door. Breakfast consists of juice, seasonal fruit, and an
egg entree such as omelets, eggs Benedict, German popover pancakes, Belgian waffles or
stuffed French toast (special diets are accommodated).
