The Guest Strolls Along Activities &

 You have to know where you're going to find this remote Shenandoah River cottage but you'll be glad you did; you're our only guest. Nestled
in the rolling checkered hills of the Shenandoah Valley, an area rich in Virginia history,
is the historic1852 heart-of-pine farmhouse build by Jacob Swartz for his new
bride Lucinda Zirkle. The Swartz family home and Jacob's cobbler shop, which has been
converted into a totally private self-contained guest cottage (the only available
Bed and Breakfast lodging), stand peacefully at the very
end of a tree lined country lane overlooking the Shenandoah River's North Fork. Steeped in history
this historic house was well documented by Jacob; from building costs to items
pillaged by Federal troops under the command of General George Armstrong Custer.

A full breakfast is served at your leisure in the main house, on your own
river-bluff terrace (weather permitting) or, in your pj's inside the cottage. Breakfast
consists of juice, seasonal fruit, and an egg entree such as eggs Benedict, variety of
omelets, pecan pancakes, pumpkin waffles or stuffed French toast (special diets are
accommodated). 
Please, come linger awhile and discover what Virginia's
Shenandoah Valley has to offer in scenic beauty, historic lore and holiday recreation. If
time permits we'll keep you busy for days.
